Mekova respects your privacy. This policy explains which personal data we process, why, and what rights you have.

What data and why

Contact form

When you fill in the contact form, we process your name, work email, company name, your answers to the qualification questions and your message. We only use this data to respond to your request and to prepare a possible engagement. The legal basis is your request and our legitimate interest in responding to it.

Checklist

When you request the checklist, we process your email address. If you consent to practical articles, we add your email address to our mailing list. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in every email or by emailing us. Without consent, we don't use your email address for mailings.

Visitor statistics

We measure website usage with Vercel Web Analytics. This happens without cookies and without identifying individual visitors; we only see aggregated figures, such as the number of visits per page.

Error monitoring

To fix errors on the website quickly, we use Sentry. When an error occurs, technical data is sent, such as the page, browser and operating system. We never include submitted form data.

Cookies

This website doesn't set tracking or marketing cookies. That's why you won't see a cookie banner.

Who we share data with

We never sell your data. We work with the following processors:

• Brevo (Sendinblue SAS, France) for sending email and managing the mailing list;
• Vercel Inc. (United States) for website hosting and visitor statistics;
• Sentry (Functional Software, Inc., United States) for error monitoring.

For transfers outside the European Economic Area, these parties rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep data

We keep contact form data for up to two years after the last contact, unless it leads to an engagement; then the statutory retention periods for business records apply (seven years). We keep your email address on the mailing list until you unsubscribe.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct or delete your data, to restrict processing, to object and to data portability. Email info@mekova.eu; you'll get a response within four weeks. If you're not satisfied with how we handle your data, you can file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.

Security

We take appropriate measures to protect your data. The website always uses HTTPS, keys for external services are never exposed in the browser, and access to data is limited to those who need it.

Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
